Oakville's Glen Abbey golf course is home to the Canadian Open and Mississauga's lovely Toronto Golf Club is the third oldest in North America. Whether you are a seasoned player or an enthusiastic apprentice, we bet it will take you quite some time to play them all!


Glen Abbey Golf Club

Well known to golfers the world over, Glen Abbey was Jack Nicklaus' first solo design and was the site of Tiger Woods' famous clinching birdie in the Bell Canadian Open in 2000. Rated eighth in Canada, Glen Abbey is open to all and esteemed by Tour players for its difficulty. Tee times are at nine minute intervals. The Royal Canadian Golf Association has its office at Glen Abbey.

The Toronto Golf Club

Founded in 1876, the Toronto Golf Club is the third oldest in North America. This redoubtable private club in Mississauga has a beautiful 18-hole course that plays to a par 70 and an elegant clubhouse.

Lakeview Golf Course

Host to the 1923 and 1934 Canadian Opens, this lovely traditional 18-hole course accommodates both beginners and advanced players. Tree lined fairways and generous greens. Tee times may be reserved by calling 905-615-GOLF (4653).

Derrydale Golf Club

First built in 1970, Derrydale is lovely, mature, 18-hole course. The course is public and operates on a pay-as-you-play basis. Every year the Mayor Hazel McCallion's fundraising tournament is held here, and the fully licensed restaurant has both indoor and scenic patio seating.

This private 18-hole course in Mississauga plays to a par 72.

Grand Highland Golf Club

A great family golf spot, Grand Highland plays to a par three and welcomes children. There is a small snack bar on site.

Caledon Country Club

Set in the pretty Caledon Hills north of Toronto, and intersected by the Credit River, which comes into play on several holes this lovely course is well worth a visit.

Britannia Hills Golf Club

This par 65 course is currently undergoing a redesign and is scheduled to reopen in 2005.

Deerfield Golf & Recreation Center

This 18-hole course in Oakfield has five ponds that come into play on several holes and attractive rolling greens; there is also a driving range on site.

Family Golf Oakville

Rated one of America's top-100 ranges for several years running, Family Golf is a fantastically designed and award-winning golf school for children and adults. The facility runs kid camps, corporate events, and more. There are two excellent mini golf courses on site: one has a pirate theme and the other is terrifically challenging.

Oakville Golf Club

This 9-hole course has many alternating tees for interest and diversity and plays to a men's par 70 and women's par 73.

Saw-Whet Golf Club

A 27-hole course in Oakville, the Saw-Whet club is owned by PGA professional Randy Fessey, who runs junior golf camps and golf clinics.

White Oaks Golf Club

Known for its superb driving range, Oakville's White Oaks semi-private course has 9-holes and a par of 30.
